The Punter of the Year 2025 Things to Know

The winner will have the highest POT% from all of the Copy Tips during the competition period (on single fixed odds racing and sports. Multi bets are not eligible and will not be counted towards your POT%). 

1. This competition is free to play for Wolfden Account holders (anyone who has a active and valid Wolfden Account).
2. To play, you must meet all eligibility and entry restrictions outlined in The Punter of the Year Competition Terms and Conditions. 
3. The competition commences at 12AM on 01 January 2025 and ends at 11.59pm on the 30^th of November. 
4. There is no cost to Wolfden accountholders who have downloaded the Wolfden app

Eligibility:

• Wolfden accounts must be set to "Public" to be eligible in this competition. Account default is set to "Private". To change to a public account, please go to your Profile screen, under Privacy & Notifications.
• Entrants must be over 18 years of age.
• Accounts must be in order, that is all fields requirements in the Account's Profile page must be complete and up to date.

How to Play:

• Players are automatically entered into the competition once they howl a WIN or PLACE copy tip on any listed racing or sports code (Thoroughbred, Harness, Greyhound, NRL, NFL, AFL and any other code available on the Wolfden app). 
• Your first Copy Tip per selection will be counted towards your Punter of the Year 2025 (POTY) score.
• In the case of multiple copy tips by the same player on the same section, only one will be counted, that being the first tip howled. 
• For a copy tip to be included in the POTY calculation, the account must be set to public. Copy Tips from Private accounts are not eligible and will not be counted towards your POTY score.
• Accounts must be in order, with all information in the Profile screen complete and up to date, including Date of Birth and contact information. 
• Exotics tips and Multi copy tips are not eligible and will not count towards your POTY score. All WIN and PLACE copy tips on all Racing & Sports Codes count towards your POTY score.
• To be eligible and qualify for the prizes, entrants must:
• Must place at least one eligible Single Fixed Odds Copy Tip.
• There are no minimum tip or turnover requirements.
• Any entrant seen to be wilfully taking advantage of palpable technological errors will be disqualified.
• Copy tips must be howled prior to the race start time or game start time. Any copy tip made after the start will be deemed invalid and will not be included in the competition results.
• A maximum of one (1) win tip and one (1) Place tip on the same Racing selection will be eligible for inclusion in your POTY score.
• A maximum of three (3) Sports tips on the same event will be eligible for inclusion in your POTY score. The first three (3) Sport tips howled will be taken to be included in your POTY score. 
• A maximum of one (1) win Tip and one (1) place Tip on the same Racing selection is eligible. A maximum of three (3) sports Tips on the same event will be eligible. Any further copy tips will not be included. 
• A maximum of one (1) sports tip on the same identical selection is eligible. 
• A Joker is a feature of the POTY competition that if you howl a Joker and it wins, you will be awarded double the profits on your bet. You have a maximum of five (5) Jokers may be used per month.
• Copy tips from private accounts are not eligible and will not be included in your POTY score calculation. 

Winner Determination:

• The determination of the Monthly and Grand Prize winners will take place at 12:00 PM on the Draw Date as outlined in Promotion Details at Level 5/17-19 Alberta St, Sydney, NSW 2010.
• The winner will have the highest overall profit from all of their eligible Copy Tips (On Single Fixed Odds Racing and Sports; Multi tips are not eligible) placed up until the end of 30th November 2025. In other words, the leaderboard will be determined solely by total profit earned
• The winner is determined by calculating all players results at the fixed odds price that their tips were placed. 
• Staking is calculated bet to win $200 against your quoted Copy Tip odds, with a maximum stake of $100.
• Results and prizes are based on the completion of the event tipped. For example, if a Copy Tip was placed on the 30^th of a month, and the event (match/race) is finished on the 3^rd of the following month, then the Copy Tip will be included in the following month’s Copy Tip count and results – that is in the month the match/race was finished.
• Where a tie occurs, Dead Heat Rules apply. The prize money will be split across the winning players relevant to their finishing position.
• All above eligibility requirements must be met.
• The winners will be announced on the Wolfden app Leader board and by email.
