The Punter of the Year 2024 Things to Know

The winner will have the highest POT% from all of the Copy Tips during the competition period (on single fixed odds racing and sports. Multi bets are not eligible and will not be counted towards your POT%). 

1. This competition is free to play for Wolfden Account holders (anyone who has a active and valid Wolfden Account).
2. To play, you must meet all eligibility and entry restrictions outlined in The Punter of the Year Competition Terms and Conditions. 
3. The competition commences at 12AM on 16 June 20204 and ends at 11.59pm on the 30^th of November. 
4. There is no cost to Wolfden accountholders who have downloaded the Wolfden app.
5. Players are automatically entered into the competition once they howl either one WIN or PLACE copy tip on any racing or sports code (Thoroughbred, Harness, Greyhound, NRL, NFL, AFL and any other code available on the Wolfden app). 
6. For a copy tip to be included in the POTY calculation, the account must be set to public.
7. Entering the competition, you accept and agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions of the competition.
8. In the case of multiple copy tips by the same player on the same section, only one will be counted, that being the first tip howled. Multis and exotics copy tips do not count towards your POT% score. All WIN and PLACE copy tips on all Racing & Sports Codes count towards your POT% score.
9. To be eligible for a monthly prize players must have tipped a minimum of 50 copy tips and 500 tips for the Grand prize. Copy Tips are applied to the month the event is completed.
10. Eligible single Copy Tips per sports match is limited to a maximum of five (5). The first five (5) single tips will be counted. Any further copy tips will not be included.
11. Copy Tips submitted after the race has ended will be disqualified and not included in the results.
12. Winners are determined by the highest POT% which is calculated by Wolfden’s own staking plan of to win 200 units at the howled odds with a maximum of 100 units stake on the howled selection. The player who has qualified by howling the minimum number of copy tips with the highest POT% will be crowned the winner.
13. Winners will be selected based on achieving the greatest POT% based on eligible copy tips and the qualifying criteria:
    1. For the month of June 2024:
       1. player who has tipped a minimum of 50 copy tips for the month, and turned over $1,500 in copy tips
    2. From July 2024 onwards each month: 
       1. the player who has tipped a minimum of 100 single copy tips per the month and have turn over $5,000 in copy tips.
    3. For the grand prizes, the winning player will have:
       1. Tipped a minimum of 500 single copy tips during the competition period, and
       2. Have turned over $25,000 over the competition period.
14. The winner is then determined by calculating all player’s results at the fixed odds price that their tips were placed. 
15. Staking is calculated bet to win $200 against your quoted copy tip odds, with a maximum stake of $100.
16. Results and prizes are based on the completion of the event tipped. For example, if a Copy Tip was placed on the 30^th of a month, and the event (match/race) is finished on the 3^rd of the following month, then the Copy Tip will be included in the following month’s Copy Tip count and results – that is in the month the match/race was finished.
17. The winner will be the entrant who has achieved the Highest POT% from all of their Racing & Sports Copy Tips for the promotion period.
18. The winners must also satisfy all entry and eligibility requirements outlined in the competition’s Terms and Conditions.
19. Prizes will also be awarded to second (2^nd) and third (3^rd) place which is those players deemed with the next highest POT% from all of their Racing & Sports Copy Tips for the relevant promotion period once the final race in the Promotion period has resulted will receive the corresponding prize value. 
20. POT is the calculated Profit on Turnover based on Copy tips submitted.
21. Where a tie occurs, Dead Heat Rules apply. The prize money will be split across the winning players relevant to their finishing position.
22. Results and progress can be viewed on the Competition Leaderboard.
23. The winners will be announced on the Wolfden app Leader board and by email.
